Rains destroy crops in Karak
KARAK/NOWSHERA: Several villages were inundated and standing crops destroyed when heavy rain caused flood in various water channels in Karak district on Wednesday.
The heavy rain, started early in the morning, wreaked havoc with standing crops as it caused floods in seasonal water channels of Gango, Lawagher and Stoghora.
Fresh spell of monsoon begins
LAHORE: The new spell of the monsoon rains began on Thursday and the Met Office forecast isolated heavy falls in several cities in Punjab, including Lahore, and upper parts of the country in the next 48 hours.
Heavy rains and strong winds may generate urban and flash flooding in the local rivers and streams, said the Met Department in its warning.
