WHO warns Pakistan to control spread of polio, HIV

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has informally been warned by the World Health organization (WHO) to control spreading of the diseases including polio, HIV aides and hepatitis in the country on emergency basis otherwise it would be placed among the countries on ‘watch’ where the international travelers visiting or coming out of it would be required to inform to the organization under world body about their movement.

Woman dies of swine flu

Dr Javed Hayat, the in-charge of the infectious diseases unit at HFH, confirmed that Saeeda was diagnosed with H1N1 swine flu virus and died at the hospital last night. She was a resident of Mungoot in Gujar Khan.
The patient was brought to the hospital last week with the complaints of fever and flu.
