Hepatitis control plan to be extended across Sindh
KARACHI, Feb 8: The Sindh government has, in principle, decided to extend its ongoing hepatitis prevention and treatment programme, including vaccination of schoolchildren, to every district of the province.
Sources in the Sindh health department said on Tuesday that in view of the extraordinary prevalence of hepatitis in the province, Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had agreed to give a three-year extension to the exist ing ‘Chief minister’s initiative for hepatitis-free Sindh’.

LAHORE, Jan 10: An expatriate who arrived here from Dubai a couple of months ago died of swine flu in a private hospital, Dawn learned on Monday. Shahnaz Almas, of Bilal Colony, Sahiwal, died on Saturday during her treatment at Surgimed Hospital on Zafar Ali Road while the health department confirmed her death in a report on Monday.
