Call to create awareness of water-borne diseases

ISLAMABAD Aug 9: Experts at a seminar here on Monday asked the authorities concerned to launch an effective awareness campaign to avoid spread of water-borne diseases in the flood-hit areas. They also suggested that the introduction of cost-effective water purification systems was urgently needed in the country.
The seminar on ‘Safe drinking water through solar water disinfection (SODIS)’ was organised by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
