Those able amongst us during these great floods must also prepare for what's ahead:
a food challenge. Nourishment is the basic need of refugee populations -- AND the lands drowned were serving the still-safe population. In sum, ALL people of Pakistan are now looking at a major food challenge. But we have an answer: in our own house, front lawns and backyards, in our pots and seeds. Let us grow kitchen gardens to serve the needs of our families, and share the excess with those farmers who have fed us, and have now gone land-less.
